In just 15 minutes, you will be able to bring to the table a sweet unusual for its shape, delicious and soft on the palate and of sure visual impact for everyone. A sort of giant muffin prepared, cooked and brought to the table in a cup instead of the usual cake tin. It can be cooked in the traditional oven (7 minutes at 180 °) or in the microwave (3 minutes at 650 watts).
MUG CAKE RECIPE
Here is the recipe to prepare 4 portions of cupcake :
INGREDIENTS
-16 tablespoons of flour
-8 spoons of sugar
-1 sachet of baking powder
-4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
-2 eggs
-4 spoons of milk
-flavorings (lemon zest, cocoa, cinnamon, icing sugar)
METHOD
In a bowl mix, the flour, baking powder, and sugar (if you also want a chocolatey flavor to add 2 tablespoons of bitter cocoa) add milk, eggs, and oil. Mix everything until the mixture is dense and homogeneous.
Pour the mixture into the cups being careful to choose those suitable for the very high temperatures (usually, on the underside of the cups it is written if they are suitable for cooking in the microwave).
Cook the cake in the cup in the oven or in the microwave, wait a few minutes for it to cool and sprinkle it with icing sugar (or cocoa).
CAKE RECIPE CUP: VARIANTS
A tasty variant is the one with cinnamon and apple pieces. Instead of cocoa, put some pieces of apple in the dough and sprinkle with cinnamon. Or with pieces of orange decorated with candied oranges.
