The 10 Most Beautiful Beaches in Italy For 2019
Every year Skyscanner prepares a list of the most beautiful beaches in Italy and also for 2019 the 10 beaches have been chosen that for various factors are worth visiting. Being sea lovers (and having two small girls we appreciate even more clean beaches and clear sea) we decided to publish this ranking. You are ready?
The 10 most beautiful beaches in Italy for 2019
1 – Due Sorelle Beach, Sirolo, Marche
Lovers of simple and spartan beaches will fall in love with a small beach that can only be reached by sea with ferries departing from Numana. But for those who feel energetic this beach can also be reached by kayak or sup.
The Beach of the Two Sisters of Sirolo is the iconic symbol of the wonderful Conero Riviera. Fine gravel and small smooth pebbles characterize this beach that takes its name from the white twin rocks that emerge from the crystalline sea and that we look so much like two “sisters in prayer”.
2 – Baia Del Buon Dormire, Palinuro, Campania
The Baia Del Buon Dormire is a natural wonder that is very reminiscent of the beaches of Thailand. This golden shore protected by rocks overhanging the sea and bathed in emerald waters, is located in Cilento. Equip yourself with umbrellas, water and snacks before boarding the shuttle service that leaves from the nearby port of Palinuro.
3 – Punta Prosciutto, Porto Cesareo, Puglia
Brushstrokes of turquoise, pink and blue make Punta Prosciutto one of the most loved Italian beaches by the Salento people and by the many tourists who come here from all over Italy to dive into waters that have nothing to envy to those of the Caribbean.
Over 2 kilometers of fine white beach, soft as silk, shallow sea and also suitable for children.
4 – Cala Spalmatore beach, La Maddalena, Sardinia
Sardinia cannot miss in this ranking of the most beautiful beaches in Italy for 2019. A place like La Maddalena, then, will captivate you by bringing you to the discovery of miles and miles of breathtaking views, granite and porphyry sculpted by the wind, beaches and coves wild and in low season deserted.
On the north-eastern coast of the main island of the archipelago lies Cala Spalmatore, a beach always sheltered from the winds, framed by the Mediterranean scrub and embraced by pink-colored rocks.
5 – Cala Del Bue Marino, San Vito Lo Capo, Sicily
Only 4 km from the center of San Vito Lo Capo is Cala Del Bue Marino. With the view of the Egadi in the distance, the silhouette of Mount Cofano on the horizon, the cliffs that plunge into the blue sea, this beach is one of the pristine pearls of the island and of all of Italy.
A cove of white pebbles, bathed by crystal clear waters and a thousand shades of blue, will make you forget the summer bustle.
6 – Valle dell’Erica Beach, Santa Teresa di Gallura, Sardinia
Lovers of quiet beaches can find their earthly paradise at Valle dell’Erica beach in Santa Teresa di Gallura, Sardinia. Often protected from the winds, dotted with granite rocks and with a wonderful shimmering sea between blue and cobalt, this candid beach is perfect for a tropical beach vacation.
7 – La Gravara beach, Barrea, Abruzzo
Lake Barrea is the ideal solution for those who do not like salt water from the sea. We are in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park: here there is a freshwater basin surrounded by mountains which, created by the damming of the Sangro river, is striking for its beauty and peace.
The place is ideal for outdoor sports, nature walks and families
8 – Punta Chiappa, Camogli, Liguria
A thin strip of rock that stretches out over the sea from the Portofino Promontory has turned into one of the most popular Italian beaches.
Punta Chiappa can be reached on board boats that leave from the nearby municipality of Camogli, or through an evocative and panoramic walk among the holm oaks and ancient olive trees that descends from San Rocco to the tip, passing through San Nicolò di Capodimonte.
It is not by chance that we are in the Golfo Paradiso: a terrestrial Eden on the Riviera di Levante which is part of the Marine Protected Area.
9 – Sabaudia Beach, Lazio
Among the favorite holidays of the Romans, and not only, the coast of Sabaudia stands out.
That of Sabaudia is a very long strip of golden sand bordered by a wide inlet that, from Torre Paola, stretches to the village of Nettuno. Paradise for surfers and lovers of water sports, this stretch of windy coastline offers picture postcard views of Monte Circeo, which gives its name to the National Park.
10 – Lido di Pietragrande, Montauro, Calabria
The Lido di Pietragrande, located in the municipality of Montauro, on the Ionian coast, is the place where every summer experienced divers dive into the sea from the high rock of “Pietragrande”, precisely, remembering the acrobatics of the dizzying clavadistas overhanging La Quebrada, on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.
A day at sea in this corner of the Gulf of Squillace will know how to give you moments of light-heartedness, between diving, swimming, walking and great relaxation.
