How to organise your wardrobe
The start of a new season is a great time to look through your wardrobe and your clothes in general to see what items you might want to part ways with. This could mean donating unwanted clothes to charity, selling them on some of the numerous preloved sites or taking items that can not be fixed to the local tip. Regardless of what you do with your unwanted items there are a number of ways that you can sort through your clothing and introduce a better organisational scheme to your wardrobe.
Of course before you get started you will want to make sure that you have the right storage space and a good Fitted Wardrobes company such as Lamco Design if you are looking for something that fits your space perfectly. Once you have all the storage you need in place you can start organising!
First grab all your clothing and place it either on the floor or on the bed. This way you can see how many items you actually have. It is then worth going through each item one by one and deciding whether you are going to keep it, recycle it or throw it away. If the item is to be thrown, it is a good idea to have some black bags to hand. Equally if you plan on donating the items, grab some reusable bags and place the items in them ready to give.
If you want to sell some of your unwanted items you will need to place them somewhere safe and take some good quality pictures to upload to your chosen sale site. This now leaves the items that you want to keep. Carefully take each item in turn and place it back in either your wardrobe or drawers. You can arrange your wardrobe either in type of clothing, so that you have all your dresses together and your tops together, or you might want to look at arranging your clothes either in season that you wear them in or in colour palettes. If you find that you have more than one identical item of clothing it is worth thinking about whether this is something that you need to have multiple times or whether you can store the spare elsewhere in case of the original item becoming damaged.
